Public Works Committee

 

The Afton Public Works Committee (formerly the Road Committee) is responsible for the identification, review and monitoring of issues which may affect the general maintenance and operations of the City’s Public Works including, but not limited to:

i.       roadways and bridges

ii.      transportation

iii.    traffic control

iv.     utilities

v.      levee and water resources

vi.    parks and trails

vii.    city facilities

viii.    infrastructure

 

The Public Works Committee also reviews and recommends updates to the City’s Capital Improvement Plan and options for financing public works improvements, solicits public input and conducts public hearings as necessary or required under Minnesota State Statutes.
